The future that the human race has always dreamt of is closer than we think it is. smartphones and tablets that can project images and videos, robots that can replace waiters in restaurants, printers that can make 3D objects come to life- these are not far from actual hoverboards, completely waterproof gadgets, and virtual reality sets where you can actually interact with the objects and characters in the game.

All of these things were just visions, ideas of people who wanted to change the world for the better. Now, these once foolish, even laughable ideas are real, proving that what’s impossible today will no longer be tomorrow.

Because of technology, the world keeps on getting smaller and smaller. People with an internet connection can already talk to their friends halfway across the globe with just one tap on their phones. People can already buy and sell things online. Research no longer requires hours to be spent in the library. Technology has given us a much more comfortable life, even in the field of medicine. I cannot imagine how operations were executed and how different diseases were treated back in the days when X-rays, ECGs, and defibrillators were not a thing. Technology has definitely saved us from more hours of work and from missing out on what’s happening in the world around us.

Technologically-empowered humans are dominating the modern world. These days, finding someone who doesn’t know what a cellphone or a television is, is getting harder and harder. It is therefore essential to keep up with the advancements that the greatest minds of the century come up with because these are what make our lives easier and worth living and these only show what the human race is truly capable of and how far it can go.
